You once told me that the sea makes you feel very nostalgic. That it brings out the feeling of solitude, without the heaviness of loneliness. That it represented the duality of peace and sadness.

You commissioned me to bring you the ocean when you’re far away from it. So that when you long for it, it’s almost as if it was there, and all you have to do is stand in front of it, and it would swallow you whole.

That’s why I chose to name this series ‘Seasick’.

​

And while this may not be the finished product of my commissioned work, for now, I just wanted you to have something to hold on to for when the nostalgia hits.
